Who is Leomeir Vincennes Kennedy?
Kennedy resided within Washington State in the city of Vancouver, just north of the river from Portland Oregon. Kennedy has also resided in Mesa Arizona, Portland Oregon, and recently Whiteland Indiana. Kennedy had changed their name from Allison/Allyson Kennedy to who we know today as Leomeir Kennedy. In 2022 Kennedy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Northern Arizona State University. Here Kennedy utilized the name Leomeir Vincennes Kennedy.
Ms. Kennedy (Formerly known), has only a Judgement Credit Dispute on their record per my investigation.
Before Kennedy’s voluntary confession, he had begun the process of Transitioning from Female to Male. Kennedy has an active Pinterest Account where they discuss “Trans activism and documenting my transition” (Ngo, A. 2023).
Kennedy established residency in Whiteland Indiana, to begin his supervision hours in becoming a Registered Behavioral Technician also known as an RBT in 2022. To begin this process, Kennedy must have been at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and complete a background check, a training program, a competency assessment, and the Registered Behavioral Technician Exam. The Registered Behavioral Technician licensure or certification recognizes paraprofessionals, to have direct one-on-one contact with clients who are on the Autism Spectrum, collect data, and aid in behavior plans that are put into place by Board Certified Behavioral Analysts. Such behavior plans may include daily life skills such as showering, bathroom or toileting routines, making meals, or even peer-to-peer play (tolerating others in a room and playing games), working with clients during Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy and assisting others with other clients within a clinic-based setting.
Kennedy finished his RBT assessment and completed all the
requirements in August of 2022, and exam and began shadowing other RBTs within Hopebridge Autism Center, in Greenwood Indiana as a Registered Behavioral Technician working with children ages 3 up into their teenage years depending on the severity of where the client was on the spectrum at that time.
Autism Spectrum Disorder includes a variety of other diagnoses within the DSM-5, due to the “misfiring” of the nerves within the brain. Many children within the Autism Spectrum are known to be diagnosed as “verbal, or non-verbal”. They may engage in Self-Injurious Behaviors, Tantrums, Whining, or aggression towards others, objects, or themselves. This at times can become detrimental to the child and their families if proper precautions are not put into place such as a Safety Plan or an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP)
Before 2023, Kennedy had moved out of Indiana until he regained employment at Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center for approximately 8 to 9 months.
Kennedy voluntarily told his spiritual advisor about what actions he had made upon his victims at that time. Kennedy confessed to his first victim’s family where he had taken care of their child who was approximately 1.5 years at that time. Following this, Kennedy disclosed to Johnson County and Greenwood Police Department on April 10th, 2023 that he had been molesting three minors under his supervision, two of which were clients at Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center. In 2017 Kennedy confessed to inappropriate touching of a child that he was watching, which occurred when he was changing the child’s diaper at this child’s residence.
Kennedy deliberately and specifically chose to work at an Autism Center. He stated in court documentation that
“It was a victim pool, and I could help children with Autism Grow”.
Kennedy admitted to investigators that he “preyed” on children who were not on his caseload to avoid any suspicion amongst co-workers and would randomly pick up lunch shifts. During these lunch shifts, is when Kennedy would target his clients, and inappropriately touch them. Kennedy continued to admit during his interrogation that he began inappropriately touching/molesting clients during a diaper change & while another child prompted for “tickles”. Kennedy stated that the children had “lust in their eyes and it felt like Christmas when I touched them”.
Today one parent has come forward with horrifying details stating that they are a guardian or parent of a victim of Kennedy’s alleged abuse. The individual stated that they began to notice significant changes in their child’s behavior in late January 2023. This client of Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center was a non-verbal child who seemed to have minimal aggressive behaviors towards themselves or others. Once the alleged abuse began, the parent stated that the client was having more aggression towards themselves and others including objects, tantrums, and self-injurious behaviors. Due to the child being non-verbal, this was the child’s only way to communicate that they were being abused, this parent stated
“ They can’t talk to us. They depend on them and us. For someone we have to trust, and they have to trust to do something like this is sickening. It is terrible.”
This parent is very involved in their child’s ABA services, but from now on stated that “they will be doing more research on the next center that they send their child, they will be watching for any behavior changes or key signs that were missed before and now they know what to look for when moving forward” (Karpinski & Schuyler, 2023).
Following the voluntary confession Greenwood Police Department, and Detectives seized Kennedy’s computer and other electronic devices, upon which they found two. Kennedy is reported to be homeless at the time of his interrogation/confession and many of his searches occurred either on his phone, or laptop computer. During the search of Kennedy’s electronics a prior search on “DuckDuckGo” revealed that Kennedy had searched for inappropriate videos or images relating to thirteen-year-old children, and he had received inappropriate images from users on the apps “Whispr” and “Tumblr”. Kennedy also had an illicit images of very young children on his devices.
Following his voluntary confession, detectives asked Kennedy why he felt compelled to confess. Kennedy’s response was “My goal is to allow the families and children affected to have the ability to heal & I am afraid I will continue the cyle of children being sexually abused ” (Crenshaw, 2023).
On April 12th, Kennedy was held without bond in the Johnson County Jail for a mandatory 72 hours due to being a flight risk and leaving the state of Indiana and popping back from time to time.
On April 14th, 2023, Prosecutors Carrie Miles and Brianna Acker charged Kennedy with one count of Child Molesting-Fondling or touching with a child under 14, a Level Four Felony. Possession of Child Pornography with an aggravating factor, a Level Five Felony. Johnson County Courts set a bond of $15,000 CASH-ONLY, placed a Pre-trial No Contact Order to protect the victim, and appointed Michael Kyle as Kennedy’s court-appointed Counsel (Karpinski & Schuyler, 2023).
It is unknown at this time if Kennedy is being held with Men or Women, however, per court documents Kennedy is legally registered as “female”.
Kennedy will have a Pretrial Conference on May 18th, at 130 PM, and has plead Not Guilty. At this time Kennedy will be taking this to a Jury Trial on June 26th, 2023 at 830 AM.
This is going to be an ongoing case, our team will work diligently to stay updated.
