Former Church of Corinth Pastor accused of injury to a child
Jeffrey Dale Williams sentenced for injury to a child
The Church of Corinth (TCOC) in Corinth, TX was a popular church within walking distance for many of the neighborhood kids to seek refuge. Pastor Jeffrey Dale Williams was respected, adored, and loved by the community. Worst of all, trusted because of his position in the community.
According to court documents, an incident of sexual exploitation of a minor occurred between Williams and a child on March 30, 2013 at 3201 Tower Ridge Drive, the address for the Church of Corinth.
Williams allegedly locked a door and put a chair against it before repeatedly asking a child to fully undress in his presence so he could see “eye candy.”
Many of the 800 members did not believe the minor child, despite having 5 audio recordings totaling in excess of 2 hours of the incident. Ultimately, he received 5 years deferred probation and a $1,000 fine. Abhorrently, he escaped the requirement of having to register as a sex offender. He cannot, however, be around anyone under the age of 18 years old without a chaperone supervising – even his own children.
Since his sentencing, Williams has left the church entirely and relocated to Oklahoma.
