About Child Safety Corps

Our mission is to promote education and awareness to maximize children’s safety and minimize the threat to our loved ones. Meet our board of directors:

Sam Shaw – Chair, Director of Technology, Lead Software Engineer

Sam Shaw is originally from Oklahoma, but raised all over Texas:  Tyler, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas. His experiences encountering survivors and and witnessing predators inspired Child Safety Corps, along with the help of his friends. After finishing college and grad school at University of Texas at Dallas, he moved to Los Angeles for work and witnessed the cruel domino effect of suffering lived by many individuals daily. He has worked as a software engineer for 15 years and currently handles the overall direction of the organization as well as all technical concerns, including system administration and software development.

Deanna Sinclair – Director of Operations

Deanna Sinclair is a native Texan, born and raised in Dallas.  She has had the opportunity to live in many different states across the country working with high risk youth.  After attending college in California, she moved back to Texas and has been in the real estate industry for the past 23 years.  Having personal experience with the dangers that lie with sex trafficking and online predation, it has created a deep passion for helping others, advocating for the protection of children through educating and  promoting awareness of the online dangers that are presented daily, and ever so abundantly, to our kids.

Kala Newell – Director of Communications

Kala Newell is a born-and-raised Hoosier originally from a small town near Northwest Indianapolis. After moving away and back to her family twice during her junior year of high school, she finished college and is presently working through grad school, soon to begin studies in Forensic Interviews. Her work as a child advocate regularly brings her to court, where judges and juries use testimonies produced from her tireless efforts to put predators and other perpetrators behind bars. She creates these testimonies by compassionately interviewing children who have sadly suffered all kinds of abuse. Kala taps into this personal experience working with exploited children to bring awareness to others parents, children, and teens, and this same experience inspires her to bring excellence to Child Safety Corps.

Kelli Juve – Director of Public Relations, Northeast Region

Kelli Juve, originally from upstate New York, now lives in the greater Rochester area with her 2-year-old Yorkie, Oskar, and her husband of fifteen years. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family whenever possible, as well as being in nature. Her passion for child safety comes from her own life experiences and is perpetually fueled by her ever-growing love for children everywhere.
